Covid 19. Digital Infra Partners Update. The spread of Covid 19 has escalated and many cities/nations are now taking preventative action to reduce the spread of this virus which includes curtailing and in some cases cancelling large gatherings altogether. The well being of our Partners and Attendees is of paramount importance to everyone, as a result of this, we have been in discussion with our venues for the upcoming events view to rescheduling  and will announce new dates as they become available. We are monitoring the situation very closely to establish the optimum time to deliver these events and fulfil our obligations, this is, of course, dependant on how things develop over the coming weeks and months.

Chicago is already the 3rd largest datacenter market in North America and with recent tax incentives it is being predicted to double in size within 4-5 years according to Cushman & Wakefield. Combine this with the Cities ambition to becoming carbon neutral by 2035 and using 100% renewable energy by 2050 – the digital infrastructure industry needs to re-think it’s approach to meet these goals.

Operators now find themselves under growing pressure from end users to source cleaner, more sustainable energy sources whilst driving higher operational efficiency and maintaining uptime. To ensure operators sustainability goals are aligned with those of the customer, the industry needs to re-think how we design, build & operate more efficient and sustainable digital infrastructures to reduce its impact on the environment and transition towards a carbon neutral future and supply chain.

Covering Key Topics such as Sustainable Supply Chain, The Circular Economy, Sustainable Outsourcing, Energy, Power & Cooling, Open Source, Micro Grids, Renewables, Network Infrastructure, Sustainable Site Selection, Investment and Corporate Social Responsibility – Digital Infra Virginia will host the debate bringing together industry professionals from operators, commercial, technology, civil stakeholders and utility power providers who have a direct responsibility for the planning, design, build and operation of all forms of Digital Infrastructure from edge/telco/colo to hyperscale.

If you are interested in, have responsibility for or offer network, energy, renewables, engineering, power/cooling, outsourcing, colocation, efficiency/sustainability services or solutions to the Digital Infrastructure industry then we want to hear from you so please drop us a line to find out how we can make you an important part of the conversation.
