Peter Michelson is set to become the CEO of EcoDataCenter starting October 1st. He comes most recently from a role as the Head of Ericsson’s global cloud and IT business. His appointment comes as EcoDataCenter strives to be a driving force in the intersection of the green transition and digitalization.
“EcoDataCenter is on an inspiring journey of high growth and has quickly taken a place on the international arena. The company is well positioned to take a leading role in the green transition driven by digitalization”, said Peter Michelson, newly appointed CEO of EcoDataCenter.
This leadership change coincides with EcoDataCenter securing a substantial EUR 448 million investment for expansion through its owner, Areim. The surge in demand for the company’s services, driven by the growth of AI, underscores the need for expansion. The company’s recent launch of its significant venture, EcoDataCenter 2 in Östersund, attests to this momentum.
“Peter has qualified expertise in infrastructure and digitalisation and extensive leadership experience in international environments. We are happy and grateful to welcome Peter to our fast-growing company”, said Lars Pettersson, Chairman of the Board of EcoDataCenter.
He further added: “I and the entire board want to thank Dan. Dan is a very appreciated leader within the company and we are grateful for his valuable contribution to EcoDataCenter.”
Peter Michelson succeeds Dan Andersson who has been employed at EcoDataCenter since 2018 and in the role of CEO since the beginning of 2022.
