Greencoat to deploy wind energy for 2 Dublin data centers

Greencoat Renewables, an Irish renewable infrastructure firm, has entered an agreement to furnish two Dublin-based facilities of Keppel DC REIT, a Singapore-based data center real estate investment trust, with a potential annual supply of 67 GWh of wind power.

Under a 10-year power purchase agreement (PPA), the electricity will be sourced from Greencoat’s Ballybane Phase 1 wind farm in County Cork, as announced by both parties in individual statements.

This arrangement secures 81% of the power required by two Keppel data centers situated in Dublin, marking a significant step forward in the company’s sustainability objectives. Keppel aims to transition at least 50% of its global colocation assets to renewable energy sources by 2030.
