Prime Data Centres has announced a further expansion in the Silicon Valley area. A new build-to-suit turnkey or powered shell facility, located on Martin Avenue in Santa Clara, California, is slated to begin construction this year. Features of the 80,000 square feet of purpose-built data centre space will include a 9MW of critical capacity with N+1 redundancy, world-class connectivity options and the most economical and reliable power in Silicon Valley
“Santa Clara is one of the most desired data centre locations globally due to its proximity to the vibrant and structurally important San Francisco Bay Area,” Jeff Barber, EVP sales and business development at Prime Data Centres, said. “In addition, the relatively affordable power rates from Silicon Valley Power (SVP) are very advantageous.”
The Martin Avenue location, which is just one mile from the company’s flagship 9MW Santa Clara data centre, was recently pre-leased to Cyxtera. Completion of the three-story data centres is slated for Q2 of 2022. The Martin Avenue property is now available for pre-lease. In addition to three strategic locations across California, the company is expanding its global footprint with active projects across the U.S. and Europe.
