Lee is South African born and has spent 14 years in the UK. There he started his career in Data Centres from the ground up with the early Norland business and later acquired by CBRE. In total he carries 12 years experience within Data Centre Operations through every step within the operational roles to a senior leadership position and was also part of the initial setup of the CBRE Data Center Solutions business across the UK. Key clients experience within the Banking, Insurance, Airways sector and giant tech businesses and further more regional leadership across MEA and the Nordics. His strengths are building great client relationships and supporting their business objectives, overall risk management while growing strong Data Center teams to manage large scale asset replacement programmes within the live environment whilst maintaining uptime. He is now strategically placed back in his roots in South Africa to build the CBRE DCS business through MEA. He is active in regional data centre associations to support larger power distribution discussions to support the wave of growth in the digital transformation in these regions. Lee is also passionate in closing the skills and diversity gap in engineering and is actively building local supply chain to grow local delivery models.
