Ranjith Cherickel is the founder and CEO of icolo.io, a carrier neutral data center operator that designs, builds and operates open access data centers in Kenya. He is an Industrial Engineer by training, has a Masters in Computer Science and an MBA from INSEAD. Ranjith started his career in New York and Silicon Valley working for technology companies like Verizon Wireless architecting, building and consolidating their technology platforms. He then moved to Europe where he worked as a Product Manager at Skype in London and later moved to Munich to work in sales with Nokia. In his last role with Nokia, he was the Head of Sales for Nokia Networks in Africa. Ranjith is also a Board Member of an African focused early stage technology incubator called 88mph and is involved with many other investments. His personal interests include wildlife and their habitat, technology trends and photography.
