After Ph.D., he joined Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy A/S as an R&D engineer and technical project manager, where he was focused on control strategies for wind turbines and further optimizing the power production of wind turbines and wind farms. In 2018, Reza joined Vattenfall Vindkraft A/S as a Lead engineer, where he developed new collaboration frameworks between universities and industry, in order to develop new control algorithms to further optimize power production of wind farms, improving modelling mechanisms, and testing new control features. From 2019, Reza stepped into the role of product manager in Vattenfall, where he is focused on developing and establishing the role of renewable assets in providing grid services, including frequency services, voltage and reactive power services. Such developments include market modelling and valuation, technical and signal requirements for real-time implementation, SCADA requirements, as well as asset management. His scope includes offshore and onshore wind farms, as well as hybrid assets, in Vattenfall core markets, including Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, and UK. In the late 2019, Reza started a new initiative within Vattenfall, focusing on new innovations which can help the data center industry achieve their sustainability targets towards EU 2030 ambitions. The initiative is focusing on “Beyond Green PPAs”, developing new concepts to further support our data center customers and overcome the limitations of green PPAs
