The artificial intelligence (AI) revolution is upon us. Organizations across all industries are adopting AI to meet business challenges that include increasing efficiency, performing in-depth predictive analysis and improving customer experience. As companies prepare their AI strategies, the choice of IT and data centre partners—including their colocation solution—becomes critical. Average rack densities have been rising – however – the transition to non-CPU specific computing will herald a change in the data centre industry which must adapt to new form factors. A key architectural challenge is positioning data-crunching AI racks to access large datasets in storage environments which may have very different cooling needs. This knowledge talk assesses how colocation data centres can make themselves future-ready to meet this demand.
