Edge compute is here to stay and microgrids are an excellent solution to provide reliable power that can operate in island mode off the grid. Recent events have proven that grid power needs help now and then. Within edge environments the grid is not always available where compute is needed. But there are many options to be off grid, on grid, supply the grid and grid free. Carbon credits are one thing, but generating your own carbon free power is yet another. If you build it… they will come.
