Garry Connolly shares insight into how the evolution of people and tech are intrinsically intertwined, how behaviour influences tech developments and tech developments influence behaviour. We are becoming “digital people”, but this term, like so many being coined in the digital industry, are not transparent, are open to interpretation and this frequently leads to a negative view of what’s happening, frightening some people. In this session, we address the need for clear communication and a positive message along with education that needs to come from the digital infrastructure industry, including of course, data centers, too often seen as big bad data hoarding, energy-hungry machines. Let’s remain optimistic and thrive to make 2021 the year of clarity of purpose and hopefully of understanding.
